I absolutely adore every look Rosie Huntington-Whitely carries off, both on and off duty. Her natural, flawless elegance and perfect subtle contoured cheeks and lips look stunning both on and off the catwalk.
So it was a real treat when I had the chance to transform the talented Claire Bodie into a Victoria Secret-inspired Angel for The Body Parade Photography.
Secret behind flawless skin
To create that 'glow from within skin' I used the new airbrush foundation by MuD over makeup forever pro primer. As both products are silicone-based, the airbrush foundation glides on effortlessly, creating a seamless finish.
Once my 'second skin' was set, I gently contoured Claire's face using MuD's shadow and highlight palette, which gives a much more luminous, 'glow from within' look than powder.
These items are hot hot hot from the US and both the airbrush foundation and palette are available from Precious About Makeup in the UK.
Apricots, peaches and nudes
Rosie Huntington-Whitely keeps her look consistent and natural with apricot, peach and gentle bronze tones. For Claire I used Apricot and Almond Bobbi Brown Blushes.
I blended Vegetarian-Friendly nude colours by ELF from my Japonesque pro lip palette - shades Natural Nymph, Rustic brick and Nude, using the darker shade (brick) to contour the outer lips and the lighter shades (nude and nymph) to highlight the centre of the lip.
For eyes I used a blend of cream shadows from my own customised shadow palette to customise nudes, terracotta and a wash of charcoal for a natural but contoured eye.
Natural false effect lashes
For Rosie's gorgeous lashes I used natural-hair lashes by Gary Cockerill. Gary uses these lashes on the likes of Cara Delevingne and Eve Longoria for that amazing and effortless catwalk/red carpet look.
Final pro tips:
1. Keep powder to a minimum, and only on areas that are shine-prone
2. Avoid gloss, shimmers and glitter textures for a more second skin, natural finish
3. Blend two or more shades of lip colour for full, contoured lips
4. Line eyes with brown, not black, for a more natural sultry look
5. Define and fill brows with powder not pencil for effortless brows.
